PRODUCT SELECTION GUIDE

Choosing gas detection equipment for coal mining.

Compare the gas to be measured, the measurement range and the role of the instrument in the wider monitoring and power-off system.

Start with the gas and the required range

Methane, carbon monoxide and oxygen monitoring serve different purposes. A carbon monoxide sensor does not replace a methane sensor, and a methane power-off system is more than a standalone gas detector. Confirm the gases and ranges required by your application before choosing a model.

Match the complete system

For a sensor, review the supply voltage, signal type and compatible receiving equipment. For a power-off instrument, also confirm the machine control interface and the associated components. Compare the catalogue specifications with the current wiring and operating documents supplied for your selected configuration.

RS485, other digital outputs and wireless communication require compatible equipment. A wireless interface alone does not establish coverage or suitability for a particular mine. Share the site conditions and installation arrangement with the manufacturer before finalising the system.

Check certification for the actual destination

The catalogue lists MA references and includes explosion-protection documentation. Ask for the current certificate covering the precise model and configuration. Approval requirements depend on the destination and application: do not assume that an MA reference is evidence of ATEX, IECEx or another market-specific approval.

Prepare a useful technical enquiry

  • The gases and measurement ranges you need.
  • The machinery and operating environment involved.
  • The available power supply and communication interfaces.
  • Whether you require measurement only, alarms or power-off control.
  • The destination market, quantity and documentation required.

Send these details to antaiair@163.com or use the product enquiry composer. The team can then review the model and configuration with you.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a methane sensor and a methane power-off system? +

A sensor measures methane concentration and provides a compatible output. A power-off system adds the relevant controller and interfaces for alarms and machine power-off/reset functions. Confirm the complete set of components for the application.

Which model measures methane, carbon monoxide and oxygen? +

The GD3 multi-parameter sensor measures CH₄, CO and O₂. Its catalogue ranges are 0–4% CH₄, 0–1,000 ppm CO and 0–25% O₂.

Can I download an English datasheet? +

English product summaries are available on the individual model pages. The downloadable source catalogue is in Chinese. Email the team to request the current model-specific English documentation available for your project.
